Colleen believes that we all have the power within us to tackle the difficulties we encounter in life and create the change we wish to see. She works with individuals to access their inner strength, whether dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or simply wanting to make a change in their life and not sure where or how to begin.
She works with clients by starting where they’re at and tailoring her approach to best meet their needs. She incorporates the practices of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy. Colleen is also trained in Hypnotherapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, a powerful psychotherapy approach that can relieve many types of psychological distress.
Colleen is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is also a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta, and currently chairs their Psychologically Healthy Workplace Committee. Colleen earned her Ph.D. from the University of Calgary, specializing in the area of Industrial / Organizational Psychology.
